This was my last time here. We arrived early so my 4 grandchildren could get their treats and seats and bathroom before the movie started. The theater darkened the sound started and... no movie. I watched as person after person went out to let them know, including my husband with no results. I went out walked to the counter apologized for interrupting and let the staff know the movie never started.
I was told it's starting now. I thanked her and went back to my family.
Unfortunately no the movie had not started. I waited another few minutes of sound with no movie and went back out again. I walked to the refreshment stand and let them know in fact still no movie and it would need to be restarted.
A young lady yelled from way over by the front doors that if I " yelled again I would have to leave". I did say to that then I would like the 140 dollars back that I spent on tickets and popcorn.
To that she turned and walked away.
Embarrassing to her and I, in my opinion.
So the movie was restarted and Mooned was the short shown before the main movie. It was inappropriate at best. The main character took the Lord's name in vain and he was a grown man in only his underwear.
Did NOT match the vibe of Migration at all.
To add to all of this, one of our reserved seats didn't work.
Come on, when people spend a lot of money you can make the experience enjoyable. Kindness is free.
We won't be back.
There are other places that will happily take my money and be nice.
This is how theaters should be. Reclining seats with foot rest, and swing out tables. This theater is well worth the cost of visiting the theater. Tickets and concessions are typical movie theater pricing, but there's a good selection of foods, candies, and drinks. We drive 45 minutes just to see a movie here and there were no regrets. I do wish there was an extra line open for concessions, though. But hey, get there a little early, because you should expect it to be fairly busy.
Clean and comfortable. Chairs reclined and had a small swivel table with a drink holder. Plenty of leg room. My only complaint would be that the previews were way too loud. It was the first time taking my 2 year old grandson and I thought we were going to have to leave before the movie started.
Still Our top choice of movie theater in Jackson.
But, We went on a Sunday night and the bathroom was a wreck. It is convenient being able to purchase tickets ahead of time online, but the last few times we have been there is no one checking tickets. We also have to move people out of our assigned seats we selected 90% of the time.
Great movie experience for my wife and I. The seats were very comfortable for the near three hour movie. I know it's run by teenagers, but wouldn't hurt them to smile or at least look like they are not zombies.
We went and did a double feature. Unfortunately, you get another establishment in which customer service is very low on the priority list. Employees, all but 2 we encountered, seemed like they wanted to be there. Not friendly at all..... Except those 2. If you want refills....good luck.... In between movies we had 10 min. It took those 10 min, plus previews plus 5 min into the movie for me to get a refill on my popcorn and drink.... And the only reason it was even that quick was because I got fed up and walked to the 1 person who was helping get popcorn and drinks and asked for refills. That was nice employee #1.... Nice employee #2 is one of the reasons it took so long. People were getting angry the lines hadn't moved in over 10 min because nice employee #2 wanted to have a discussion about whatever with 1 customer instead of getting their items and moving the line along. Every other line had the employees who obviously didn't want to be there and had no desire to hurry whatsoever. Would not recommend this theater at all.
Of course, the reclining seats are great, but the headrest upholstery is cracked with age... the kiosks for pre-purchase tickets have had issues the last 2 times we've been there, but the staff handled it well. The sound and movie were great. We'd go again. Especially on Tuesdays!
Seats are starting to show their wear but they are still awesome. Reclines well. Snacks are a little pricey for what you get. Do not recommend watching a movie if Swifties are next door because you can't hear anything over thier concert [lol] otherwise pretty good theater.
